Caffe San Simeon

Caffe San Simeon was my surprise coffee discovery.  I have walked in front of it for many years and never noticed it.  I guess that Caffe Italia was my unique destination in Little Italy and never gave two shits about other places.

Myriade at Club Monaco

I stumbled on Myriade on my first day in Montreal and a gem of coffee shop like this could easily be over seen considering the fact that it’s hidden in the basement of a clothing store on Ste-Catherine street.

Origin Coffee in Ottawa

I’m not familiar with Ottawa, I’ve been there only a few times, but I trusted a friend who was born and raised in the city when she suggested Origin Coffee which is located in the popular Byward Market area.

Tokado Coffee in Fukuoka

Fukuoka remains one of my favorite city in Japan and like everywhere, the coffee scene is blooming. During this very short stay, I decided to visit Tokado coffee.  Too many coffee shops, not enough time.

Kaikado

Kaikado has been selling hand crafted chazutsu or Japanese tea caddies since 1875 .  In plain English, a tea caddy is pretty much a can,  but the craftmanship at Kaikado is pretty amazing and this is not your average tea or coffee can.  Kaidado caddies are made in Kyoto.

Hayashi Cafe

My wife found Hayashi Cafe (林のカフェ) on a blog. Located in Hayashi, there are almost no chances you run into this coffee shop well hidden behind trees. Hayashi Cafe is so nice, I wonder if I should even recommend it.  I have a feeling this place will be very popular, maybe too popular.

Coffee to Hito

珈琲と人 or Coffee to Hito (coffee and people)  is a beautiful coffee shop located in Soja not too far from Kokubunji temple.   I have ridden my bike, ran and drove my car in front of it for the past 8 years without never noticing it.
